La Ferme aux Crocodiles
In Pierrelatte, a large tropical greenhouse where you can watch crocodiles, tortoises and turtles, snakes and free-flying birds.

What to see, what to know
Opened in 1994 in Pierrelatte, in the Drôme, La Ferme aux Crocodiles is a zoo devoted first and foremost to crocodilians. It is housed in a large tropical greenhouse, with an outdoor trail as well.
The site reports 1,200 animals on one hectare: crocodiles, of course, but also tortoises and turtles, lizards, snakes, fish and 150 free-flying birds, among the tropical plants.
Much of the visit is under glass: an outing that works even on a grey day.
