Where the shop listings come from

BSA Vitrines is a directory. Every shop in Bourg-Saint-Andéol has a basic listing there, drawn up from information that is already public: its name, its activity, its address, its telephone number, its opening hours, its website and its social networks when it has any. This information comes from the business listings published by search engines and mapping services, and from the shops' own public websites and pages. The site does not reproduce any reviews, ratings or photos.

This information is published for one reason only: to allow residents and visitors to find a shop and to contact it. This publication is based on the legitimate interest in making the shops of the town known. The controller of this processing is the publisher of the site, presented in the legal notice.

Correcting or removing a listing

The person who runs a shop may at any time have their listing corrected or object to its publication. Removal is free of charge and unconditional: it is requested through the “Retirer ma fiche” (remove my listing) form on the “Vous êtes commerçant ?” (are you a shop owner?) page, which is in French, or through the Contact page. The request is checked, so that a listing is not removed on behalf of someone else, and the listing is then removed from the site.

Request and contact forms

  • Shop owner access request: the shop concerned, your name, your email address, your telephone number and your message. This data is used to reply to you and to create your access.
  • Removal request: the shop concerned, your name, an email address or a telephone number and your connection to the shop. This data is used to check the request and to confirm the removal to you.
  • Account request from an association or an institution: the name of the organisation, your name, your email address, your telephone number if you provide it, your role in the organisation and your message. This data is used to reply to you, to create the listing and to open the account, which is free.
  • Report of a piece of content: the content concerned, the reason chosen, your details of the problem and, only if you provide them, your name and email address. A report can remain anonymous. It is used to review the content and, if it breaks the site's publication rules, to remove it.
  • Contact form: your name, your email address, your telephone number if you provide it and your message. They are forwarded by email and are not stored on the site.

Access, removal and account requests, as well as reports, are stored and read only by the site's team. They are deleted no later than twelve months after they have been processed. They are neither transferred to third parties nor used for marketing. To limit abusive submissions, your IP address is kept in memory for a few minutes, without being stored.

Accounts of shop owners, associations and institutions

A shop owner, an association or an institution that manages its own listing has an account: the person's name, their email address, a password kept in encrypted form, the date of the invitation and the date of the first sign-in. This data is used to open the area where the listing, the news and the dates are published; it does not appear on the site. The account of an association or an institution is free. An account is kept for as long as it is open, and deleted on request through the Contact page. The site's team may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks the publication rules: it can then no longer sign in or publish, and the suspension is recorded with its date.

Publication log

To be able to answer for published content and to handle a report, the site keeps a publication log: who published, edited, featured, withdrew or deleted a news item or a date, on which listing and when, as well as account suspensions. It contains neither the content itself, nor any IP address, nor any information about the device. It is read only by the site's team, and each line is deleted after thirteen months.

Your rights

You may request access to the data concerning you, its rectification or its erasure, and object to its publication, through the Contact page. If the reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.

Audience measurement

This site counts its visits itself, so that BSA Vitrines and the shop owners know whether their pages are being viewed. It does so without cookies, without placing anything on your device and without any outside service: that is why no banner asks for your consent.

What is counted

  • The number of page views, per page and per day.
  • The number of visits and of visitors for the day.
  • The kind of site you came from (search engine, social network, other site or direct access), never its address.
  • The type of device: phone, tablet or computer.
  • Clicks on the useful buttons of a listing (call, directions, website, online shop, email, social networks) and the number of searches in the directory, never the words searched for.

Only daily totals are recorded. They are kept for 25 months, then deleted.

What is not

  • No record is kept per visit: there is no history of your browsing.
  • Your IP address and your browser's identification are never recorded. They are used, in memory and for that day only, to compute an anonymous fingerprint that avoids counting you twice. The key for this computation is drawn at random and changes every day: it is impossible to recognise you from one day to the next.
  • Nothing is measured in the shop owners' area or in the site's administration.
  • Bots are not counted.

Opting out of measurement

If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, nothing is counted for you. This setting is found in your browser's privacy settings.

Maps

On a shop listing or on the page of a place, the map shown first is an image served by this site, drawn from OpenStreetMap cartography: your browser does not contact any outside service at that point. The Google Maps map is only loaded if you click “Show the Google Maps map”. From that click on, your browser talks directly to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Your choice is kept for the browsing session, in your browser only and without any cookie from us; the “Hide the Google Maps map” link withdraws it. The “Directions” button is a plain link that opens Google Maps.
