Dolmens of the Bois des Géantes
Six dolmens scattered through the Laoul woods, listed as historic monuments since 1900: a woodland walk back to prehistory.

What to see, what to know
West of the town, the Laoul woods hide a prehistoric necropolis. Six dolmens are spread over about 750 metres, among the limestone rocks.
These tombs were built between the end of the Neolithic and the Bronze Age. The site has one distinctive feature: it brings together the three types of dolmen found in the south of France, known as the Lower Rhône, Causses and Languedoc types.
First recorded in 1837 and studied in the second half of the 19th century, the dolmens have been listed as historic monuments since 1900.
The visit is a woodland walk: bring sturdy shoes and water. The tourist office can advise on access.
