International Ardèche Gorges Marathon, by canoe and kayak

The 42nd Ardèche Gorges Marathon takes place on 6 and 7 November 2026: hundreds of paddle craft descend the gorges to Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, where a food and produce market awaits the public on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.
The International Ardèche Gorges Marathon is a paddling downriver race: kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, dugout canoes and large boats cover 34 or 27 kilometres of gorges depending on the boat, from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc towards Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche. The 42nd edition is announced for Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026, subject to favourable weather conditions. Champions and amateurs set off together.
For spectators, the finish can be watched at Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche, a commune neighbouring Bourg-Saint-Andéol. The Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche town hall is organising a food market of local producers there on Saturday 7 November, from 9 am to 5 pm, quai des Bateliers. Access is free.
