Walk along the Ardèche: the riverside forest and floods

A free guided walk along the Ardèche, Saturday 17 October 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm, Pont Cassé beach in Saint-Just-d'Ardèche, to understand the role of the riverside forest during floods. With the association Bourgs en Transition.
The association Bourgs en Transition is organising an outing on Saturday 17 October 2026, from 2 pm to 5 pm, to the Pont Cassé beach in Saint-Just-d'Ardèche, very close to the confluence of the Ardèche and the Rhône. Participants discover the riparian forest (ripisylve), the forest that borders the river: what it does during floods, and what it brings to the river, wildlife and residents.
The outing is free. It is offered with the EPTB Ardèche, the public body in charge of the river, as part of the 2026 consultation on water management.
